The SouthStars Soccer Club is pleased to invite soccer teams and their supportive families to apply for play in the 16th annual West Carrollton Soccer BLAST. The tournament will be held this year the weekend of June 7 and 8, 2008 and is located in West Carrollton, Ohio, which is a few miles southwest of Dayton.

We are offering play in age groups U8 through U19, boys and girls. Each team will play a minimum of 3 games, with a maximum of 4 games. Team trophies and individual medals will be presented to the first and second place teams in all divisions.

All players, including guest players, must be duly registered with their state association, in the appropriate age group, in good standing, and have a USSF/USYSA player card. Players without valid player cards will not be allowed to play. Player cards, state-approved roster, guest player roster (if needed), and liability release forms must be presented at registration. Teams from within Ohio South should carry their player registration form for each player with them during the tournament as their medical release forms. Teams from outside of Ohio South should have notarized medical release forms for each player with them during the tournament. All teams must complete the Liability Release form, which is available on the tournament web site, and turn it in at regisration. Travel permits are required and must be presented at registration for all teams outside of Ohio South (OSYSA). By signing the tournament application, you and your team agree to follow and abide by all tournament rules listed on the application and in the tournament rules. In case of dispute, the decision of the tournament committee is final.

The number of guest players allowed does not permit the maximum roster size for each game to be exceeded. Teams from within Ohio South with guest players must have an Ohio South Tournament Guest Player form, which can be found on the Ohio South web site. Teams from outside Ohio South should use the Tournament Guest Player form which is approved by their state association, or if that is not available, use the Ohio South Tournament Guest Player form which can be obtained on the www.osysa.com web site (which must be validated with a signature from your state association).

The tournament entry deadline is May 7, 2008. All applications for the tournament must be completed on this web site. The team entry fee (and the performance bond for U16 thru U19 teams) must be received before a team will be considered for the tournament. Checks are to be made out to the WEST CARROLLTON SOCCER BLAST and sent to the West Carrollton Soccer BLAST, P. O. Box 308, West Carrollton, Ohio 45449. Once a team is accepted to the tournament, the entry fee (and performance bond if applicable) is non-refundable. Teams that are not accepted to the tournament will have their entry (and performance bond if applicable) refunded.

Applications will be considered on the basis of team record, level of competition, geographic balance, date of application, and other criteria at the discretion of the tournament selection committee.
